Jeremy Weiss
I’m the owner of Weiss Excavating Contracting Ltd., and I’ve been around heavy equipment and construction for as long as I can remember. Before starting my own company, I worked in both general construction and excavation, where I gained the hands-on experience and knowledge that now guide how I run my business. I take pride in doing things the right way — with attention to detail, solid work ethic, and a deep respect for the trade.
Operating machines is one of my favorite parts of the job, and I’m passionate about building things that last. A lot of what I know today comes from my dad, who taught me the value of hard work and passed down skills I still use every day. Outside of work, I’m a dedicated outdoorsman. Hunting is something I truly love — it’s my way of unplugging and staying grounded.

Jordan Salahor
I’ve been with Weiss Excavating and Contracting since the very beginning, working alongside Jeremy and growing with the company. Before that, I worked in general construction with a focus on framing, as well as operating forklifts and skid steers. Since joining Weiss, I’ve had the opportunity to learn the ropes of excavation, eventually stepping into the role of foreman and operator through hands-on experience and mentorship.
Outside of work, I’m a proud family man with a wonderful wife and two amazing kids. I have a background in high-level hockey and still enjoy staying active when I can. On weekends, I love heading out camping with friends, playing a round of golf, or just spending quality time with the family.
Richard Wittich
Richard has been with Weiss Excavating and Contracting for over two years and brings a wealth of hands-on knowledge to the team. Known for his ability to operate nearly any piece of equipment and fix just about anything, he’s become an invaluable part of the crew. As a foreman, Richard leads his own team with confidence and skill, keeping jobs running smoothly and efficiently.
Outside of work, Richard loves to travel and explore new places. When he’s not on the road, he enjoys relaxing at home with his dog Moxie and cat Millie. A fun fact about Richard is he’s originally from Australia, and he recently caught his first fish here in Canada.
